Complex 13
Complex 13 LOX storage and transfer facility Zoom

Atlas vehicles used RP-1 (kerosene) as fuel, and LOX (liquid oxygen) as an oxidizer. The facility above served as an area to receive LOX from tanker trucks, store it, and transfer it to the launch vehicle. The tanks that were used to store the LOX are no longer here, but the structure remains along with some piping, valves, and electrical boxes.

Areas for the transfer of nitrogen and helium used to be next to the LOX facility, but are no longer there. Fuel was stored and transferred in a similar facility on the opposite side of the launch stand.
